Letter from Administration
July 23, 2025
Dear Rocket Families,
Welcome back to a new school year at Rancho Vista Elementary. As we come together to begin this new chapter in the 25-26 school year, we want to thank you for choosing Rancho Vista Elementary as your school community. We are excited to come back united under a powerful theme that will guide us throughout the year.
One Team, One Purpose: Every Child, Every Day.
This theme reflects who we are and what we believe. Parents and Guardians, we are one team—working together, supporting one another, and aligning our efforts to make sure every student feels known, supported, and empowered to grow. We want to work together, remembering that every student matters, every day counts.
This summer, our teachers and staff have been attending training for the new English Language Arts curriculum, AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) as a system to ensure all students are college and career ready, and training on social emotional support for students. We are focused on providing strong instruction, building positive relationships to increase attendance and positive student engagement and supporting each student -academically, socially and emotionally.
We can only progress towards this monumental achievement if we are in it together. You are part of the team. Without a doubt, we know that we will have a successful year. We will continue to build the team culture and focus on our students' needs. This year, we move forward with a unified purpose: to ensure every student is learning, every student belongs, and every student grows.
This year, as we examine systems with staff, we will work within the goals within the School Site Plan for Student Achievement which is aligned to Board Goals and our LCAP to continue on improving our school environment and educational outcomes and need parent input and participation. It is also time for the Rancho Vista team to update our Vision and Mission this year. We also have the opportunity to review these systems and supports since our Mid-Year visit for WASC is this year.
- Goal 1: Rancho Vista Elementary will ensure that all students are equipped with the cognitive, linguistic, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills to be successful in a global society.
- Goal 2: Rancho Vista Elementary will ensure all students have equitable access to a high quality instructional program and research-based supports that they need to engage fully and meaningfully with the program.
- Goal 3: Rancho Vista Elementary will develop and implement programs that support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
- Goal 4: Rancho Vista Elementary School will create opportunities for community engagement to increase student attendance and communication as well as identify barriers to school success.
This summer, there have been some upgrades and projects completed at Rancho Vista. The stairs by the Bolz Rancho Parking lot has an upgrade of a ramp to help facilitate student entry and exit. The stairs connecting our Kindergarten area with the middle part of campus has new stairs, along with turf added to the grounds. We are appreciative of all the construction work that makes our campus safer and accessible.
